Thank you for adding "allegedly" in there. The problem with the X4 was that it claimed to be 8K when it seemed to have the exact same sensor as the X3 which could only do 5.7K max. For people taking 360 photos for things like VR (as opposed to using the camera to 'see everything at 8K but then cut a planar 4K video out of it'), the real resolution is critical since that determines how realistic the bubble will be in VR where a LOT of dynamic post-processing takes place.
If the X5 really is an 11K sensor being downscaled to 8K, then this is definitely worth it. I just with Insta360 would be more open with basic specs like this.
