I wonder if the demographic of people who are looking to buy or have already acquired RTX 5090 even read articles like these or reviews on the product in general? I don't think they do.
So for whom or what exact purpose was this article written for? Pretty sure it's not the majority of viewers on this site.
Regarding earlier comment from vfm... This is specially relevant im this case. If you run equivalent amount of cost in AMD hardware, it would outperform 5090 almost certainly. But it would also allow running better model as it would offer 3x the total VRAM. And while better model would be slower, it would be giving better answers.
Nvidia has shown off how its shiny new GeForce RTX 5090 fares in DeepSeek. It convincingly outperforms the RX 7900 XTX, as does the last-gen RTX 4090, which previously lost to the RDNA 3 flagship in AMD's in-house test.
