Same for a friend of mine (im ranger he's warrior) we're both doing fine progressing through maps, yea we die but that's part of it we also carry on. About 75/76 lvl now. If we see ourselves die a bunch of times in row we start running lower maps.
And yea the gear is rng, but you have to use the game economy in your favor. There's a large number of players farming AND selling, so instead of playing rng with your resources upgrading and hoping an exalt will give you the stats you need, use that currency to just buy the gear you want/need.
And as many have said, the game is in early access, literally half the classes are missing. I like games where there is a certain meaning and end to the plot. I don't see that in this game. Even some nice bonus at the end of the game is nice. This is as mentioned here about various bonuses, there is a beginning of the game - there is an end of the game with a nice ending. I really don't understand why so many people play Path of Exile. Millions were waiting for the second part to come out. In fact, there are no special changes between the first and second parts.
It's ok not to like the game, just should have put a disclaimer that the fame is not finished imo.
Maybe you can explain to me what's so cool about this game? My friend plays it 5 hours a day. I've been watching him for a couple of days. What can I say: he just runs around the map and hits creeps. It's just endless farming and hero upgrades. What's the point of the game???
