lol, look at all the crybabies mad because you have an opinion of the game different than theirs. Show me on the doll where the bad man's words hurt you. Fighting over video games is one of the most pathetic things ever.

I like POE2. Didn't like the first one, got so bored and looked like it was made on a potato. I can see myself ending up bored with POE2 simply because I can't run the campaign over and over again, I get no enjoyment out of that. But I will for each of the new classes as I have with the existing.

It's OK to not want to figure a game out in order to continue playing.  Wanting the game to be easier to accommodate a lack of thought sounds terrible, though.

I play a game for more than an hour, I consider it "good," and move on.

I play a game for under an hour, I get a Steam refund, wish the developers the best luck, and move on.

I can't fathom putting 100+hours in a game and criticizing it. For me I might want to take a hard look at what I am doing.

Phony review as the xp thing is just not real.

You lose xp but not more than what you gained in the map until around level 90ish and you don't get to level 90ish until you've progressed a lot deeper in the end game and you should have a good idea of what you're doing.

If you're losing more xp regularly then you're getting wrecked at the start of each map and need to go to an easier map.

In your case, you just thought you're a good gamer and could blast through and, frankly, you're not. You can get better or wait until we can pump out comprehensive leveling guides for you vs bashing the game because it's too hard.

Played Poe 1 long ago, couldn't get into it, barely made it through the acts. Camera too close, game play not fun. PoE 2 is my style. Challenging too. I've hit walls changed up my character and skills and tried different things and found myself pleasantly surprised. I'm in act 2 cruelty now and game certainly feels easier then the first 3 acts. Boss fights where very cool.
Don't let the crying get to you. Steam charts speak for itself on Wednesday night the game had over 300k playing. Who knows how many more on the GGG launcher.

Lol I read this whole thing because when I started poe 2 I also struggled. It took me FOREVER to get to just cruel. But, now that i understand the game and actually took time to plan out my path on the passive tree im blasting through with no problem and cant wait to try some other set up with my character. Ive never seen someone openly tell everyone how bad they are at gaming and that they sunk 160 hours into it to realize it wasnt for them. Stick to simpler games that dont require much thought. Theres plenty of games out there that give you weapon that say ATK and armor with DEF so you wont be confused.

Look at all the butthurt PoE shills. The game is bad. It might get better with time but PoE 1 is bad as well. Both games have less players playing convectively then D4 does at any given moment. Keep crying because people speak the truth

This is why I no longer care or trust game journalists and now only trust a handful of YouTubers.

I would not speak about perfection or something. The game is really good. But so many misinformation by you and many others. The game is hack n slash. You can see a little the market from times to times you can found good items to buy and you may sell your no build item's for buying those. Not that will be recommended but you could play your warrior with elemental magic wand and focus nothing is class locked. Praising diablo but the rng was as much. Praising elden ring and soulsborne by itself is joke but that's a huge topic. Legit the bad thing it had was: 1 anyone needs elemental resistance s almost capped or capped for me that destroying build unique and 1st trial alongside honour for melee could be really bad experience but neither of those got mentioned.

Just bad criticism and comparisons with games you probably never played to your life

Another journalist that thinks they're part of the majority when they're the minority. Grinding gear games is hitting the player base that it needs for path of exile.

You can tell by the way this person describes how the bosses mechanics are "bad" and other obvious red flags that even after 160+ hours of playing do not understand how to play the game. Please get these bad gamer journalists out of here. Go back to FIFA or w/e game you usually main.

I can see where the authors problem was; he played exclusively garbage arpgs with like 10 decent builds total in the game that you basically get shoved into quick because there's a total of like 30 builds altogether (so 2/3 bad, 1 maybe 2 good builds per char) and never learned that you have to experiment with your skills.
Warrior is one of the easier experiences because you should be taking mostly strength, and probably using a mace/armour unless you're an actual veteran and are doing something like pillar or a conversion build. So intrinsic life stacking, damage reduction and an easy max res wheel. It's really simple, he just never looked at warcries or totems, and never checked vendors on his first characters (my third character has made about 25 ex while leveling just buying and smashing quality/socket gear).

Git gud, here's the real takeaway: people who have played poe1, and have 1000+ hours in the game, will tell you even they don't understand all the systems and interactions. You never even played 1, this game is not like Diablo 4, it will punish you for your lack of knowledge (and then you will learn). And most of all you need to remember you're playing a beta. If you need a reminder look at the skill gem UI and count how many weapons, and weapon skills are missing, and all those uniques which will cross convert things from different weapon skills and passives and ascendacies and add interactions that don't even exist yet.

If this scares you, uninstall I guess. But I'm excited to be playing a game that doesn't treat me like I'm 8, if I did I'd play the paw patrol game my 4yo daughter does.

Also, purely opinion but I've had zero issues on my second/third character playthroughs. The fights are interesting and difficult if you are underpowered, frustrating on some until you understand timing (people who complain about the monkey but not Blackjaw make me lol, yes, it is a skill issue), but once you've beaten them and understand the game a little you probably won't have a problem the second time through (and if you do it's a good check that your build needs something)

Post your weak build that accompanied all your grief.

Don't listen to the trolls. This game is more frequently frustrating than fun. Doing well requires a lot of research about builds and in game currency, which is sparse. I got lucky with a divine orb drop that funded good gear. If not I probably would have quit. I may still.
