Although the source code became public yesterday, it's far from having been released as open source. However, while the Winamp Collaborative License (WCL) Version 1.0 forbids distribution of modified versions, a few forks are already online. Since WCL contradicts GitHub's ToS, the future looks interesting for Winamp and its forbidden versions.
