Die erste Version des Asus ROG Ally Handhelds musste mit einer mageren Akkukapazität von 40 Wh auskommen, doch eine Hardware-Modifikation eines Bastlers nutzt einen Akku mit 67 Wh. Dank dieser Modifikation erreicht die erste Version des ROG Ally fast die Akkukapazität des ROG Ally X.
