I own a Ioniq 5 sel awd. I was just up in the Smokey mountains. From the dome lookout 6500 feet above sea level to the park entrance about 900 feet above sea level. On level 1 regen barely touching the brakes and or the gas pedal we went from 72% to 79% battery power. Was totally shocked at the recovery. Living in Illi ois rarely do you climb a hill taller than 50 to 80 feet high. So it was awesome to see the 7% gain

Thanks to regenerative braking, an EV can harvest a substantial amount of energy when slowing down or going downhill. A recent video chronicling the Hyundai Ioniq 5 taken on a road trip to Loveland Pass and back proves just how effective regen braking is when going downhill.
