Apple really needs to figure out what the killer use case for this thing before bothering with cheaper and/or better versions, it's a forgettable gimmick not worth buying otherwise. The hype for this thing has completely died.
I was at an Apple Store over the weekend, and despite two units up for demos, and no shortage of employees asking me whether I wanted to try it out, there seemed to be no interest at all (and I didn't feel like going through that 20-some minute demo either).
Apple's Vision lineup explores new frontiers in mixed reality technology. Plans include a more affordable headset, next-gen Vision Pro, and smart glasses without displays. Despite challenges, Apple remains committed to advancing its mixed reality lineup.
