Kinda strange, considering they might announce new Switch this year, which is rumoured to have a different mechanism... There is already a charging adapter (basically looks like the thing which transforms it into full controller, but with usb-c for charging)

The Nintendo Joy-Con charging stand could have arrived sooner, but better late than never, right? The charger also works for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) controllers.
