Mit Project Gem wollte der gescheiterte Smartphone-Hersteller Essential einen brandneuen Formfaktor ausprobieren, inklusive grundlegend neu entwickelter Benutzeroberfläche. Das Gerät zeigt im Hands-on-Video durchaus Potenzial, zeigt aber auch, dass die Software noch nicht fertig war.
