What a rubbish article, written by an Apple fanboy. It's not "Tandem OLED panels", the name of this TYPE of panel is DOUBLE LAYER OLED, and LG has had patents for them for over 10 years, they were already used in panels in some cars. The reason for not being used in other devices is the price: obviously it is at least 2x more expensive than a common OLED, but beyond the extra brightness there are no other advantages. With the statements "likely" and "up to", it might also be much less. As so often, initially we only get uninteresting video battery runtimes, which tend to be much exaggerated compared to general Wifi battery runtimes. So "16 hours" threaten to become less than 5 hours for real usage.
