Well, what happens when you take EA and ruin red alert 3+ and Tiberius wars+ and then remaster Red Alert . . But not Red Alert 2, Yuri's, Generals, or Tiberian Sun firestorm.

Generals 2 got cancelled and the only living pieces of the originals are thankfully kept alive by cnc.net for those of us that play still.

The publishers will never see past the dollar bills and the only saviors are the indies typically and you gotta wait til the right studio comes around to finally remake a classic.  The big companies don't care, they just want to push out the fastest fps with season passes, battle passes, 97,000,000 outfits for real money, to keep the kids of these days engaged for 10 minutes with quick gratification and a fast pace so they run the circle like a hamster.

I used to literally make a meal to sit and eat playing age of empires, red alert 2 yuris, sins of a solar empire, tiberian sun.  Spent hours just making walls sometimes.  Your average joe's kid is not interested in that, they need constant action and adrenaline rush because they don't know or want to see the grand outdoors to maybe make a sling shot or potato cannon or something less dangerous perhaps, maybe sports :)

A recent survey of 1.7 million gamers found that games that involve "strategic thinking and planning" are becoming less popular amongst gamers. Out of twelve different motivations, strategic thinking in games has seen the biggest decline, regardless of gender or nationality, and researchers speculate that declining attention spans may contribute to the lack of interest in strategy-centric games.
