The 4k 240hz QD-OLED panel used in the OLED G8 is not identical to the other QD-OLED 4k 240hz displays. This panel has a matte coating where all of the other QD-OLED panels are glossy.

There are 3 different 4k 240hz QD-OLED panels being incorporated into monitors right now - 4k 240hz flat glossy, 4k 240hz flat matte, and 4k 240hz curved glossy. Only monitors using the 4k 240hz flat glossy and 4k 240hz curved glossy panels have been reviewed.

One of Samsung's retail partners has revealed the launch price for its new Odyssey OLED G8 gaming monitor. Surprisingly, the G80SD will cost anywhere from 15% to 57% more than its ASUS, Alienware, AORUS or MSI competitors despite using the same 4K and 240 Hz QD-OLED panel.
