Review soon? I'm curious about battery life between last year's 7840u model and this year's 8845hs processor. I know that the underlying technology is the same, still 8 zen 4 cores, same 780m IGPU, same cache, etc. Though TDP is different and that's what I'd like a test on. The 7840u model was hard locked to only 15 watts, but these new models are HS processors so I'm assuming they'll consume tons more power. Lets see some tests on that! I get great battery ife with my current Pavilion, just don't like the 16GB of RAM. If this model had 32GB I wouldn't even consider upgrading.

Although I am waiting for the MINISFORUM V3 three-in-one laptop to come out, I am very interested in mobility and performance in artificial intelligence and here in other tests it has been shown that AMD is above Intel.

NPU/AI performance isn't relevant until we see AMD Strix family with 45+ TOPS and whatever Intel Lunar Lake is (probably 30 TOPS). That's a tripling in one generation, and those NPUs could be faster than using the iGPU which isn't the case right now.

HP has refreshed the Pavilion Plus laptop with the latest Intel Meteor Lake and AMD Hawk Point processors. More specifically, the 2024 variant can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, Core Ultra 7 155H, AMD Ryzen 5 8845HS, or Ryzen 7 8845H.
