With this approach, each reader needs to answer the key question - where do you really want to live - in the USA, Western Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan or China (Russia, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, UAE, etc. or even in NATO member Turkey)? By answering this basic question for yourself, you will get the answer to all the others.
Although it's common to assume that success implies moral superiority, that isn't necessarily the case.
If you exclude your not being able to criticize the government and promote physical conflicts, China may have more freedom of speech than the US has with its current culture.
China also generally has more upward mobility and the people are more optimistic about the future, and feel they have more agency than people in much of the west, which is still milking past wins.
Of course, I still prefer the US, but that's personal bias.
I would never choose Europe.
And I would have done China if not for the language barrier... Their culture also seems to have taken something of a hit post Trump wrt foreigners. Which is something of a bummer.
Overall, there are many countries with different advantages, for people who want different things.
