Quote from: JimO on December 02, 2023, 22:27:30There are a lot of things that Musk seemed to disregard when designing it. Like before they downsized it, it was said it wouldn't fit in something like 80% of garages in the country. So you either leave it outside, or build a bigger garage. And how would that work for drive thru banks or restaurants, where the current ICE trucks can barely get through? It's like he wants the world to change to accommodate this vehicle, rather than making it work with what's already here. That philosophy is also a reason I wouldn't want anything from this company.

Key words - BEFORE they downsized it. How can you complain and criticize the company as a whole for a problem they fixed? 😆

That's 4000 IQ right there my man.

Funny, I've had no shortage of Tesla people telling me I WILL be driving a Tesla in the near future. I have absolutely no desire to own a Tesla, just as I have no desire to own a Volkswagen or Fiat. And there is no way in hell I would even consider a first Gen vehicle from a company who's never made anything like it.

Probably the biggest issue I see with the CT is if it needs body repairs, as where I live the nearest place that might handle the specialized repairs it would need is 200 miles away. Add to that the issues for other drivers or pedestrians, like how blinding will bare stainless steel be when the sun hits it, or how much damage will it do when it hits a pedestrian vs standard sheet metal that has some give? And how sharp are the edges? I've been cut by stainless steel before, and it's not a pleasant feeling.

Well....maybe it's not targeting your "normal" truck person?  I mean they have over a million pre-orders.....guess they don't care what "truck people"  want?

Besides, I've been called a truck person...I usually own at least a couple of trucks (i have a big ole custom diesel that I built and one other truck atm) , and I'd LOVE to have a Cybertruck!

Maybe qualify your OPINION as being such...YOUR opinion... unless you think millions of people are clueless about what THEY want out of a "truck"

You DO know that over 7 million Teslas are on the road, and that the model Y is the most purchased car in the world in 2023...right?  Folks stuck in the past Saud Tesla would never work.. never catch on, lmao....might want to tell the MILLIONS of owners that love their Teslas....

To each their own, and you are certainly entitled to not like the truck, but your blanket statement is erroneous on several points.....

Signed,

Truck Person

Yeah because that's what truck people want, a bench to hold hands on and a stupid light bar. All these articles trying to kiss Musks butt. The cyber truck is an overweight over priced piece of garbage.

Tesla is revealing the Cybertruck specs today and showed everyone their production line. Besides the decently sized bed storage compartment, it also showed the frunk that is now called Powergate.
