Bisher ließ sich die Bahn ID nicht für das Kaufen regulärer Bahntickets verwenden. Die Deutsche Bahn stellt nun aber ihre digitalen Anmeldeprozesse um. Die Bahn ID wird von der Deutschen Bahn abgegeben und zieht zum Fernverkehr um.
