Currently named Vega, Amazon's Android alternative for Google's mobile operating system is allegedly being tested on Fire TV devices and might hit the market in less than a year. Unlike the existing AOSP-based Fire OS, Vega is reportedly based on a Linux core and, in the long run, will run on all Amazon devices.
