I hope this means that Qualcomm is now dev the primary drivers via the SOC and providing those dev kits out to manufactures in order to streamline the camera design in Android Ecosystem.

The Sony IMX966 is now projected to debut soon in order to become the new main camera for smartphones powered by the upcoming flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is said to have sought-after features, OIS included. The combination might be further bolstered by a new, high-res zoom lens from OmniVision for maximum effect.
