Ok, I'll bite - other than trying to market to Apple fans who seem far more brand sensitive than normal humans, what exactly about this product is "made for iPhones"? It looks like all the controls are on the base and so don't use the iPhone for anything - the 'wireless' aspect seems to simply refer to the fact that it's battery powered.
Even the phone grip is just a bog standard phone tripod grip. It looks like one of a thousand sold on Amazon that works with any phone.
My guess? It's made for iPhone 'creatives' who have a big iWallet for anything that has says 'for iDevice' in the marketing.
SANDMARC has released the Ring Light - Wireless Edition. The portable gadget, designed for iPhone, has a lithium-polymer battery that you can recharge via USB-C for over four hours of wireless lighting. The color temperature and brightness are adjustable, and you can use the light with a tripod.
