Hi Mick,
Rtings has recently changed its rating system, which is why the X85K suddenly received a much higher score than the X85J. This wasn't the case when the review was published last summer, and the measurements clearly show that these two TVs are largely identical.
In fact, I personally owned a 65-inch X85J that was recently replaced with a X85K under warranty, so I can attest to the conclusion that these TVs perform very similarly. If anything, the X85K is a tad less bright than the X85J in HDR.

Not sure your info from RTINGS is correct for the X85K which on their website looks to have scored better in every category than the X85J.

After some of the Japanese manufacturer's more expensive television sets of 2022 have already remained stagnant, the budget-friendly 120Hz TV Sony Bravia X85K has unfortunately followed this disappointing trend and did not receive any particular improvements compared to its immediate predecessor.
