Bisher basierte die Dell-Precision-5000-Serie auf den Dell XPS 15 und Dell XPS 17 Laptops. In diesem Jahr stehen die Precision 5000 erstmals auf eigenen Beinen. Das neue Dell Precision 5680 ist quasi ein Dell XPS 16 mit mehr Features, und das Dell Precision 5480 ist eine der kompaktesten mobilen Workstations.
