A better comparison might actually be the GBA SP. From the example picture, it looks like the same dimensions and size. Only DS resemblance are the extra action buttons.
While the console dimensions are of similar or close values to a ds lite, comparing a single screen device to a Dual Screen (hence DS) is not really the best choice.
Just own the L for comparing it to the Nintendo "Dual Screen". You clearly didn't know what a GBA SP was when you wrote the article and your defense is "GoRetroid were wrong in their comparison and it's not my job to check. I just rewrite other people's info."
I compared it to the DS as it has almost the same dimensions as the DS Lite, the same button layout as the DS Lite (ABXY), and what looks like the same circle pad as the 3DS. Considering GoRetroid also compared the device to the DS family, I think it's a fair comparison. I see why people also compare it to the GBA SP, as it is essentially a wider GBA SP with two extra face buttons, more shoulder buttons, and two joysticks. Also a fair comparison.
Retroid Pocket, which is known for its popular family of handheld game consoles, unveiled a new handheld that takes cues from Nintendo's DS. The Retroid Pocket Flip is a clamshell handheld that will come in a variety of colors, though specs are currently unknown.
