Das neueste Standard-Zoom-Objektiv von Sony deckt einen größeren Weitwinkel-Bereich ab als die meisten Konkurrenten, ist aber dennoch vergleichsweise klein und leicht. Im Vergleich zum älteren Sony Zeiss Standard-Zoom verspricht Sony eine deutlich bessere Bildqualität.
