Super happy to see more competition in this tiny segment.
While 27' 4k already looks good to work long hours on text, 5k is the bit more easy to read that makes long days less tiresome and makes you work more. But the price delta between a good 4k screen from LG or Dell and the Apple Studio Display can be hardly justified, even if you make money with it and especially if you do not care about the integrated speakers and cameras that are a force sell.

If this S9 lands in the middle in terms of pricing, they can have a winner.

Samsung has introduced the ViewFinity S9 as it continues to expand its ViewFinity series. The ViewFinity S9 has a 27-inch panel that operates at 5K, which should put it in contention with the Apple Studio Display and LG UltraFine 5K. The Samsung ViewFinity S9 offers Thunderbolt 4 connectivity too, among other features.
