whether Apple's 1st foldable is a phone, tablet, or small laptop....it will be ultra premium. and the foldable screen supplier (of choice) will be willing to loose market perception in order to provide that critical component.

The first foldable Apple device would be an iPad rather than an iPhone. Market analyst Ben Wood believes that foldable phones would be detrimental for the current premium iPhone lineup. Apple may look to test the waters with a foldable iPad first.
