It would be unfair to compare the Alienware x14 with an Inspiron. There are many more things that go into the Alienware from an experience perspective than just the raw speced hardware. For example, Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio. Or the thermal solution. Dual IR cameras for Windows Hello. The keyboard. The form factor and colours.

Pure hardware is only one part of the story at this price point.

The latest Inspiron 14 Plus ships with the same Core i7-12700H CPU and GeForce RTX 3050 GPU options as on the Alienware x14 for hundreds of dollars less. If you want an affordable yet powerful machine in a 14-inch form factor, then the Inspiron may be worth considering over the Alienware.
