Während das iPhone auch in Zukunft nicht auf USB-C umsteigen soll beschreibt ein neues Patent einen möglichen Nachfolger für Apples Lightning-Anschluss. Dabei kommt ein Stecker zum Einsatz, der magnetisch am Smartphone hält, und der auch optisch dem MagSafe-Netzteil ähnelt, das bis vor einigen Jahren zum Aufladen von MacBooks eingesetzt wurde.
