Snake had no such send-off, the direction of the game wanted to tug on your heart strings with the threat that Snake was going to die but couldn't commit to seeing that eventuality out, the game suffers from terrible writing from start to finish.
I played metal gear 4 in ps3 and I love it, and i read that it was also meant to be an xbox 360 but it didn't fit on one disc so now would be the time to come to the xbox too
It's arguably the best game to ever be released by Konami and 1 of the best games in the MGS series, alongside 2 imo. Solid Snake will forever be the face of Metal Gear Solid. He received such an amazing send-off in MGS4 yet he is the only person that could save the MGS series right now. It's a catch 22.
As an exclusive Xbox owner, I've only had the luxury of playing Metal Gear Solid 4 one time on my friends PlayStation 8 years ago. I used to own only Sony products so I've played the classics and have been fortunate enough to have more modern ones re-released for Xbox. I would absolutely love to have another go at it. I'll pay full price for a complete remaster for Xbox.
Kojima's final years at Konami were turbulent to say the least, but his legacy should be preserved. Solid Snake's swan song title has yet to be re-released on any other platform even after over a decade in the market.
