Tbh, only thing i want from lower tier ipad is just display lamination.
The performance wasn't a big deal for long time.
My ipad gen 5 is perfectly working until now. And I'm having good experiences but display.
Honestly, I know that difference witb ipad air and ipad is mostly display lamination but plz apple its 2020, let me have just good display

What? Are you implying that they'll put an A12X/Z on their $329 iPad? I find that a bit far-fetched... even an A13 is more plausible considering they usually put phone SoCs on their lower-end iPads. I mean of course, we'll never know until it officially gets out in the wild...

We are talking about regular A12, not the A12X/Z...And the leaks didn't specify wheater it's a regular iPad or the iPad Air.

What? Are you implying that they'll put an A12X/Z on their $329 iPad? I find that a bit far-fetched... even an A13 is more plausible considering they usually put phone SoCs on their lower-end iPads. I mean of course, we'll never know until it officially gets out in the wild...

The next entry-level iPad may quite the upgrade over its predecessor, MacRumors reports. Following the iPhone SE's product strategy, the iPad will remain affordable by Apple's standards. However, it is set to receive a new chipset and a larger display.
