An IR camera is...at the very least true night vision, definitely useful.

Some diligent users on Twitter and Reddit discovered that the OnePlus 8 Pro's camera could see through some thin plastic objects. One simply needs to navigate to the camera app and switch the 'Photochrom' mode on for the magic to happen. The trick, however, works only on a handful of materials that do not have IR shielding.
