What? Why is everything stated here different from Lenovo's press release and their website? From what I've read the base model costs $759, and the max config is equipped with an RTX 2060. In my country it's not available yet but the specs they provided in their website states that it is possible to configure it with a 2060. However, I checked the US website and apparently yes, you can only have a 1650 Ti max, so probably it's a region thing or the 2060 model is not available yet in the US? This is confusing.

Why are is rubbishing these high efficienct 7nm chips AMD chips which consumes less wattage for more power with some more or less temperatures compared to the dated 14nm +++++++++. Very inefficient Intel chips which drinks power so much and runs very toasty even on a beefy laptop cooling setups! Whyyy? Can't these Amd laptops have these high end Nvidia Gpu's?

It is kind of hilarious how Lenovo forces to choose extra $50 option for better GPU. For upgrade from 1650 to 1650 Ti.
And after that effort consumber still will get below average GPU.

Knowing Lenovo's trash screens, that 120Hz screen is probably pretty bad.

non of them include subwoofer , or great speakers... deal breaker for me.
a flagship laptop with not the best speakers available it pure garbage to me.
and no I never use headsets.

Please note, I just confirmed that the calculation for the customization, and it
is incorrect!! When you upgraded from 128 GB SSD to 1TB SSD, it is $200 cost, however, the cost actually jumped $400, which makes it incredibly expensive!! This is quite horrible mistake. Hope they fix it soon before people fall in the trap!

it happened and keeps happening, a monopoly and its pocket oems. this is why this market is so different from phones and cars, for example.
it is one big stucture, not a bunch of competitors. this structure is able to sell hardware which was made 10 years ago, and using 20yo standards.

Just a note, if you go to Lenovo's configuration page, there seems to be an error in their pricing calculation.

Select every top option aside from windows 10 pro and the 1 TB ssd, pricing is at $1,309.99. This is for the 144hz panel, Ryzen 7 4800H, 1650ti.
Now add the 1 TB ssd and suddenly the price jumps to $1,709.99.
$200 + 1300 is not $1700...

Some angry commenters here, and I agree with the annoyance at OEMs for not including higher tier nvidia cards, but price wise, it looks like there's just some bad coding on that config page atm.

AMD used to have a bad reputation on mobile CPUs (until this year in fact). Many people stills believe that while some others stay modest until there are more reviews coming out. The OEM companies are uncertain whether their AMD lineup will sell well, so they put AMD CPUs in their budget and mid-range lineups to test how the market reacts.

In my opinion, this completely makes sense. Imagine what will happen if their AMD flagship lineups failed? How much money will they lose, comparing to their budget and mid-range AMD lineups? You may believe AMD CPUs are superior, but not every user thinks the same.

And BTW, the OEM companies didn't lie because they never promise anything in the first place.


Aegis what you are saying is half true.
Now I will speak facts and not the oems risks of using amd or not.
There are 2 lenovo legion 5 and 5i in some review labs. Both with rtx 2060. Lenovo changed their mind and will use with amd only 1650ti.
Acer Nitro last year used amd with rtx 2060. This year only wih crap 1650ti, knowing very well that ryzen 4000 is 90% better than previous generation.
You put all the facts together also with my previous posts and make a picture.
