Quote from: Padmakara on April 23, 2020, 18:02:26forget about shares, look at the market shares.
Well it's not like that, let's say now on the stock market 1 amd share is 57$ and total amd cap is 66 billions.
If they have success with playstation and xbox , 1 share amd will skyrocket and increase the valut on the stock market. Also probably they have a profit of about 7-12% for every cpu\gpu sold to xbox.
So than Amd will have much money to decelop better cpu/gpus and better drivers. Also pay theit debt. Slowly slowly.
Quote from: opelit on April 23, 2020, 18:10:18Well, who builds their cpus/gpus? TSMC. if their entire line of production 7nm is full on making those gpus for Console, than not free space for mobile gpus. Pretty simple.QuoteUnfortunately AMD has to deliver the gpus to Playstation and Xbox so almost their entire capacity production of gpus goes there and that's why not seeing 5600-5700m in laptopsThis is not true. GPUs and Console chips are 3 different kind of chips...

They don't want to supply OEMs with their higher end GPUs for the Ryzen builds.
