Late 2019 saw rumors that Google was developing a type of Apple Card-competitor in partnership with certain financial institutions. Now, there may be more evidence that this new instrument is indeed nearly a reality. It is to be a debit card rather than a credit card, and will be tied into and controlled through an app.
