I mentioned this last month. Huawei's "251 incident" prompted marketplaces to demote Huawei's flagships putting Apple back in the spotlight, also the overall sentiment was probably against buying Huawei, and Huawei is the only major competitor in China with a major presence in Apple's price bracket, so if not Huawei who frames its own employee over whistleblowing on internal fraud and compensation it's agreed to, then it's back to Apple.

iPhone sales in China leapt to 3.18 million units in December, a year-over-year increase of 18.7%. While many analysts are excited about what this could mean for Apple's sales in China, it should be noted that October and November were terrible months for Chinese iPhone sales.
