With the introduction of the Snapdragon 7cx, Qualcomm intends to offer a solid alternative for Intel's Core i3 Whiskey Lake CPUs, targeting budget laptops in the US$300-800 range. The new SoC would also offer doubled power efficiency thanks to its 7 nm fabrication process, which would translate into up to 15-20 hours of battery life.
