It has been reported that Nvidia has joined the bidding contest for Mellanox Technologies. Other companies believed to be interested in acquiring the fabless semiconductor firm include Intel and Xilinx. Mellanox, which has corporate headquarters in the USA and Israel, supplies networking equipment and it also designs network processors.
