Quotethe Wall Street Journal had reported that the online retail giant's plans had resulted in the sale of homes in Queens at unusually exorbitant prices and without viewings on the part of the buyer.

This was happening in Queens well before Amazon moving in was even a twinkle in anyone's eye. An apartment would go up for sale in my building an within three hours there was an offer in cash to buy it sight unseen, and this was well before anyone knew anything about this.

LIC is already super expensive, anything Amazon would have done here wouldn't have moved the needle much. It's NYC, it's already like this.
