I once gave a version 1 to an important person of mine. I would say the new generation looks less refined and wouldn't have been my choice of gifts if it were available at the time.

Sony has announced the LSPX-S2, a successor to its glass bulb speaker the LSPX-S1. The LSPX-S2 has been slightly revised compared to its predecessor and is considerably cheaper too.
