For much of 2018, increasingly convincing leaks indicated that Qualcomm would be dropping the 'SD 8xx' nomenclature for its premium line of smartphone CPUs. However, the latest rumor is that the anticipated new name of '8150' is for internal use only, and not what the SD 845's successor will be marketed as at all.
