A group of German scientists belonging to PTScientists are looking forward to launch the first privately funded unmanned lunar rover mission in 2019. Telecom heavyweights Vodafone and Nokia are helping to devise the first 4G communications network on the Moon to aid in transmission of scientific data and HD video of the abandoned NASA Apollo 17 rover and the lunar surface.
