2017 war zu hören, dass sich Samsung im Jahr 2018 wieder ein wenig vom Apple A-Serie Prozessor-Kuchen abschneiden will, doch neueste Berichte aus der Industrie widerlegen diese These: Auch dieses Jahr sollen alle A12-SoCs wieder aus den TSMC-Fabriken stammen. Auch beim Ausbau der 7 nm und 5 nm-Verfahren will TSMC Fortschritte machen, Samsung bemüht sich um einen höheren Marktanteil.
