AMD's CTO Mark Papermaster announced that the Vega GPUs and the Ryzen CPUs will get 12 nm version in early 2018. The 12 nm Vega chips should compete with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 2000 series that are expected to be released in early 2018, while the 12 nm Ryzen CPUs will be AMD's response to Intel's 10 nm Ice Lake processors, until it releases the 7 nm Ryzen 2 products in late 2018.
