European retailers have to add VAT and various import taxes. EU regulations, you know... just compare prices on Amazon.com vs Amazon.co.uk and you'll get the idea.

699€ ! So if I get this right, Europe is not the first launch market and yet the price is inflated 30% since the launch in december in China... The 4gb / 64 gb was priced at 530 euros:

I think Huawei made a mistake and switched the prices between Europe and China.

Huawei's flagship Mate 8, will be released in Germany this month from 599 Euros.
