Gemäß dem neuen Zahlenmaterial von Net Applications kommt Microsofts Windows 8 und 8.1 im Vergleich zur betagten Version Windows 7 nicht wirklich aus den Puschen. Zusammen hatten beide 8er Versionen im Januar 2014 einen Anteil von 10,6 Prozent.
