Laut IDC wird der PC-Markt 2013 das zweite Jahr in Folge schrumpfen. Das Jahr 2012 endete mit einem Minus von 3,7 Prozent beim globalen Liefervolumen von Notebooks und Desktop-PCs. Für das Jahr 2013 rechnet IDC derzeit mit einem Rückgang von 1,3 Prozent.
