European EV buyers might be getting affordable EVs from Volkswagen as the company has reportedly been developing cheaper electric cars for a while now and is planning to release the products in a few years. The report comes at a crucial time for the EU EV market as the European Commission is expected to penalize Chinese EV exports with an import tariff in June.
