I bought my 2018 LG Gram 14 after watching several durability tests.
According to a korean review channel it can apparently survive several drops from shoulder height even when landing on pressure points.

My Samsung J5 from 2016 have survived a 2 story drop out of an apartment window and much more. Little scratches here and there, nevertheless works flawlessly.

Every inch of Apple' move is carefully crafted money milker that is conniving planned obsolescence. iPads poorly constructed than cans of soda is most definitely not an accident.

To be fair, my 1st gen IPP withstood dense packing much better than my other tablet from the now independent VAIO(which I anticipate will go bankrupt in the near term), which was also much more expensive.
