IHS errechnet in einem virtuellen Teardown als Materialkosten (BOM) für das neue Smartphone Galaxy S4 von Samsung in der HSPA+-Version 236 US-Dollar. Inklusive der Herstellungskosten sind es 244 Dollar. Für das Apple iPhone kalkulierte IHS Materialkosten in Höhe von 200 Dollar.
