Asus überarbeitet sein Zenbook 14 OLED und verwendet nun ein noch kompakteres sowie leichteres Gehäuse. Trotzdem gibt es einen Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, der die Kühlung jedoch auch vor eine große Herausforderung stellt. Der neue OLED-Bildschirm mit 120 Hz überzeugt hingegen mit akkuraten Farben und guten HDR-Eigenschaften.

Seltsam: Denn beim Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry als auch beim Apple MacBook Air 15 2023 M2 (beide ebenfalls von Herrn Osthoff getestet) wird dies nicht als Kritikpunkt aufgeführt.

Gelten für Apple-Geräte etwa andere Regeln?

1.600 € für einen Intel Core Ultra 7 155H und eine Intel Arc iGPU, nicht einmal verrückt in den Foren, es wird bereits darüber gesprochen, wann Asus ein ähnliches Produkt herausbringt, aber mit AMD Zen 4 Series 8000 mit viel mehr Grafikleistung mit RDNA 3 und mehr Leistung in der künstlichen Intelligenz.
Denn was Ai an Informationen bekommen hat, ist lächerlich und ein Witz.

Ein weiterer Rückschritt bei Asus. Meine Frau hat noch ein 2022 Zenbook 14 mit AMD 5800H und der hat 0 Throttling. Hält konstant ohne Probleme 45W, auch beim Rendern von großen Bildserien etc.
Hier sind die Lüfter offenbar bereits bei 28W überfordert und bei 20W ist die Dauerleistung ein schlechter Witz.

Da hat Asus offenbar extrem an der Kühlung gespart, offensichtlich ging es vor 2 Jahren ja noch besser.

Als ich beim LPDDR5x-7467 Dual-Channel-RAM die Latenz 154,2ns sah, musste ich mich fast übergeben, so außerordentlich langsam ist das!

hard to read this review, having in mind the review of macbook air m2... As an owner of this laptop (version with 185h) I cannot understand scoring criteria (unless it's + 10% bonus for apple).
starting from:
1) screen- air has great but ux3405 has oled + touch+ 120 Hz,
2) ssd- air pcie 3 vs pcie 4 in asus, I agree it's not great but still better. In mine, I replaced it for 2 tb superfast p41- can you do this in mac?
3) ram- both machines on board, asus 32GB, apple 16...
4) power efficiency - x86 processor can't compare to arm however, thanks to bigger battery, asus has very similar, the same or even better runtimes. In whisper mode, result would be even more beneficial for asus.
5) in every working mode (whisper, standard or performance), zenbook wins in Cinebench R15, in case of 185h- 10 runs in whisper mode gives result in range 2200-1500 points, better than the most of ultrabooks with intel p-serie CPUs... it is worth to mention that the noise level is very low during the test in this mode (I agree with author regarding some electronic noise-my device is also affected but it's not very annoying). in performance mode, CineR15 the best above 2500, loop stable above 2100...
6) noise- here apple wins but as I mentioned, in whisper mode zenbook is almost fanless while still performs very well. In standard mode-noise acceptable, performance is laud, but not as noisy as for example ux3402 i5 1240p
7) networking: zenbook wifi 6e 160MHz- air wifi 6 80MHz...
8) ports zenbook: 2 usbC/thunder, 1 usb type A, hdmi, audio jack- air 2 usb/thunder, audio jack, power...
9) build quality- both great

The only advantage air over this zenbook is noise level, but we should remember that whisper mode makes zenbook almost fanless. In asus, using fn-f keys combination you can enable extra power when needed.

can you use the HDR brightness in regular windows while browsing or working on projects or is it only active during video viewing and certain things? I wonder if we can enjoy the 600 nits outdoors or the screen is totally unreadable? How does it compare to the M2?

Hallo, werdet ihr auch noch das ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406) testen? Mich würde es interessieren (und andere bestimmt ebenso) wie dieser Laptop sich schlägt im Gegensatz zu den neuen Intel Ultra Prozessoren, wie die Lüfter sind und ob es ein 3K Display mit 120 Hz geben wird oder nur ein FHD Display. Auf der Asus Seite sind dahingehend Widersprüche. Vergleicht man das ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) mit dem ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406) steht dort nur FHD beim UM3406. Auf der direkten Seite vom ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406) steht 3k. In den Spezifikationen nur FHD.

Vielleicht blicke ich auch nur nicht ganz durch.

Also, wäre schön wenn ihr das ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406) testen würdet. Und auch ob ihr schon Neuigkeiten von den Samsung Galaxy Books 4 hättet.
